Letter to Adam

Dear Adam,

I hope this letter finds you well, I hope you remember me, and I hope you keep an open mind. My name is Alex Langford of Las Vegas, and you helped me in the past. Your investment and time devoted to answering my questions helped me get my work published, and for that I am grateful. Sadly, I must ask a favor of you – to look after my childe.

Please let me explain. As you may or may not have heard, Jerome LeBreton, the Prince here in Las Vegas, is not well. His mental faculties have been slipping for some time, and there are those that have taken advantage of this. A rival of mine, one Kelly Braxton, decided to get some vengeance on me for some slight or another, and managed to convince Jerome that he did not, in fact, give me permission to sire. While I have eyewitnesses to this effect, he does not seem to be listening to reason, so I am trying to ensure that my childe lives, as he has done nothing wrong.

We have spoken before, about your unique views concerning the interpretation of the Traditions. Bearing that in Mind, I hoped I could come to you. Please, I beg of you, to at least allow him to stay in your city. Should I survive this ordeal, I would owe you a life boon, but I am not confident that I will. My child’s name is Nicholas Jackson, though he goes by Nick. I’ve spent the last year teaching him the survival tactics of being a vampire, the laws of the Camarilla, and have begun teaching him about what it means to be Toreador. Nick was a good guy as a mortal, and still is as a vampire. He’s a very talented musician, which is why I chose him, but I think he could eventually be an asset to you or your city as well.

In case you are dubious, I have also included a thumb drive, which contains some testimonials about permission given to me, as well as background information on my childe. From what I’ve heard, your city is not nearly as cutthroat as some, I believe he could thrive there, if you’ll allow it. Although he has a head start, the Prince’s goon squad is already after him, should you refuse him, I’m not certain he could stay ahead of them long enough to make it elsewhere safely, he is yet young.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter. Again, I hope this finds you well.

Regards,

Alex Langford
