As he lay there, he began to feel the first tugs of sleep as sunlight just barely began to color the horizon…and, he didn’t want to. He wanted to bask a bit longer in this current feeling. Ollie had been right about one thing – Liam should get back out there. He knew Ollie was right, but he didn’t want to hook back up with him. He’d closed that chapter of his life.
Vince had made it clear he was a short-term good time. Liam had no illusions. It wasn’t what Vince wanted – he’d been up front, and Liam respected that. Granted, with the two of them being what they were, short-term could be years, and nothing was stopping him from looking elsewhere, either. For now, though, he was more content than he had been in a while. The past few days had been hard, and Vince was a welcome distraction from all that had happened, and all that needed to be done.
Not much time left before sleep claimed him now. With any luck, there wouldn’t be any new surprises waiting for him when he awoke again, so he and his friends could focus on the tasks at hand. He forcibly turned his thoughts to Vince as sleep claimed him – perhaps as a way to entice a good evening for the next tonight; or, perhaps, just to have good thoughts before ceasing consciousness for the day.
