The Education of Petra v4

It had been the best night of her life in a long time – maybe ever, she felt. She smiled when she woke, though sometime during the night it seemed Vince had left, presumably to find the comforts of his hammock. She didn’t mind. He’d done a lot for her recently, and while she wasn’t used to him being as behaved as he was, it was nice to see a different side of him. Taking a moment to stretch, her back arching slightly as she did so, she then got up to look out the window. The California sun was already beating down, so she wasn’t sure she wanted to go out today.

She dressed, pulling on a pair of her favorite jeans and a tank top, before making her way out to the kitchen for some food. By the time she was done eating, she had decided that she would invite her friends over for a few hours to hang out. She texted; Jon being the first to accept, followed by everyone else.  Upon arrival, Jon had a large bag – almost a hiking pack, that he lugged in and set on the table.

“What’s all this?” she asked him.

“You guys owe me a pick, right?” he asked.

“That’s true. I guess we have been dominating hangout time, when we’re all supposed to have a choice day.” she responded.

“Well, I’m taking my turn, dammit. So I’m going to teach you all how to play D&D already.” he said, beginning to pull out books and set them on the table.

“Do you really need all of that?” she asked.

“Well, yeah. Character creation, looking up rules, and looking up monsters.” he explained. “Oh! I did this a while ago, but I got everyone a set of dice that I thought they’d like.” he said, digging through the bag to hand her a small pink pouch that was drawn shut. She opened it up, to see that the design on it was a pattern of flowers with a set of unnumbered dice on top, a banner strung through them that read “Fight like a girl”.  Petra chuckled, highly amused. The dice inside were a pretty, sparkly pink and blue scheme, something she found herself liking. Alex, Rick and Shiloh all received similar, though their pouches and dice were different.

He set them to creating characters, and they ended up with a party of a Half-Orc Monk (Alex), a Halfling Cleric (Rick), a Human Fighter (Shiloh), and Petra ended up making an Elven Blood Hunter. Jon’s story was a simple dungeon run, but they ended up having a lot of fun, and losing track of time. Since they needed to be home in the evening for dinner, they helped Jon pack up and leave, with a promise to try something new the following weekend, then headed home.

Petra was, overall, in quite the happy mood. She left Vince a text earlier in the day, nothing more than some simple emojis expressing her feelings since she wasn’t sure if he’d ever upgraded his phone yet. With evening approaching, she thought to herself, about everything recently, and her solidified beliefs in her feelings toward two of the three most important men in her life. Emilio was the third, and while she adored him, she saw him as more of a father figure to her than the other two, whom she felt more romantically about and attracted to.

For dinner, she kept her meal light, then headed to her room, studying herself in the mirror before fixing her hair, changing it from a braid to a simple ponytail, then grasping her necklace for a moment and she muttered a little mantra to herself. She wanted to be there when Brandon awoke, and tell him how she felt. A part of her wanted to offer him something intimate, that she’d never offered before. Vince had taken her virginity long ago, and would always be her first in that regard. Brandon could take her blood, if he chose, and make a small part of her wholly his, and that would be something that no one else could claim – that she allowed herself to be fed upon.

The romantic side of her liked the idea of both the men she loved having a part of her that they could claim, a first for her, a thing no one else could ever claim or touch. The practical side of her wasn’t sure how he’d respond to such a proposal, or if he would even react. Muttering this over to herself as she entered his room quietly, she ended up resigning herself to not say anything on it, at least for a while; at least unless she were prompted, or got that stern serious non-nonsense attitude where he got calm and she didn’t know what to expect.

She smiled a little, looking at him as he slept still. Being unable to help it, she ran her fingers through his hair, deciding that, if she needed an excuse, she’d say she was giving Emilio time off to rest. After running fingers through his hair, she laid down next to him, and waited for him to wake.
