The following day, Mandy met up with Trish. Ilyana was helping Billy with house hunting, so she wasn’t present for the meet up. The two of them sat in the living room, pen and paper at hand, Netflix in the background and Emily sleeping soundly nearby. Trish’s task was less about list making, and more about planning things like mood and catering. It was something she didn’t mind doing, and something she did for the club anyway, so that’s why the task was assigned to her. Mandy’s task was to come up with a list of individuals to invite.
Avery Billy Brandon Chance Charles |
Claude Greg Ilyana Jacqueline Jakob |
Jasper Jett Lucas Lucius Mandy |
Michael Petra Samuel Sergei Trish |
Nikolai Timur Vince |
Mandy began with the more obvious choices. When she began to get to people she wasn’t sure about, she started asking Trish questions.
“I know my Dad and your grandpa are definitely out.”
“Definitely.” Trish responded.
“I don’t think Jacqueline would be down for it either. Thoughts on Jasper, Samuel and Nikolai?”
“Jasper definitely no…he takes his job watching Emily very seriously. Nikolai….hmm….probably not.”
“Samuel?”
“You got me. We’d have to ask him. I mean, technically he’d be there anyway.”
“Might as well participate?”
“If he’s into that.”
“Ask?”
“Sure. Hey, Samuel!” she called. After a moment, Samuel appeared.
“You needed me?”
“You’ve been listening, you should know.”
“I try to give you as much privacy as I can.” he admitted.
“I appreciate that. Honest I do. Well…since we don’t know where to mail you an invite, we’ll just ask. Would you be interested in being a participant in our party, rather than just an observer?”
“What kind of party?”
“Honestly, a sex party.”
Samuel didn’t turn red, so much as he looked a little embarrassed. “I couldn’t…”
“Why not?”
“I’ve never…well…I’m not experienced. At all.”
“It’s ok. You don’t have to if you don’t want to.”
“I’d rather not. Even observantly, I’d likely just set up wards and keep tabs on those.”
“Fair enough. Thank you, Samuel.” he nodded, then disappeared again.
“Well, there’s our answer.” Trish said, and Mandy crossed him off the list. “Anyone else you have questions on?”
“Avery, Charles, and Petra.”
“I don’t know Avery well enough to comment on that. I just know that he’s roomies with Jakob.”
“That’s about what I know, but I don’t think they’re an item.”
“Well, invite to be polite then. Charles I’d like to invite on principle. Plus, reasons.”
Mandy smirked. “I remember the game yesterday. Okay, so Charles in. What about Petra?”
“That…I can’t put my finger on that. I mean, she did an amateur strip night for people, sure. But I can’t exactly see her in that situation, you know?”
“I know. She seems too…”
“Distinguished?”
“Something like that. Alright, no Petra.” she thought for a minute. “No Lucius either. That might be opening a while can of worms we don’t want, especially as he isn’t in the know.”
“Anyone else you have questions on?”
“Honestly? I’m wondering if Vince would be up for this sort of thing.”
“I’d still like to invite him, just in case. If he doesn’t want to come, he can watch Emily. I was going to have Grandpa do it anyway. how many invites does that leave us with?”
Mandy looked down at her list, and counted. “Fifteen.”
“Should we trim that down more, do you think?”
“No…I mean, people might decline anyway.”
“True. Alright, so plan for fifteen of varying…umm…tastes.” Trish said, going back to her sketches.
Mandy looked down at her list. It looked a little more like this:
Avery Billy Brandon Chance Charles |
Ilyana Jakob |
Jett Lucas Mandy |
Michael Sergei Trish |
Timur Vince |
On the way back to Trish’s, she called Ilyana. “Hello?”
“Are you done yet? Artistic skills are needed, and I’m not that artsy.”
Ilyana laughed. “I’ll be over in a bit. Let me get lunch first, alright?”
“Alright. See you soon.” she said, hanging up as she pulled up in front of Trish’s place.
“It occurs to me.” Mandy said as she headed in “That we only need twelve invitations. The three of us are throwing it after all.”
“Good point.” Trish said, taking the bag of food Mandy handed her.
“Ilyana should be over soon.”
“Do we have work for her?”
“The invites…couldn’t find anything that looked decent so we have to make our own.”
“If nothing else, it should be a fun project.”
“This is true. Have you figured out a date?”
“Yes actually – and it should amuse some people greatly.”
“Well…tell me…”
“Friday, July 13th.”
Mandy blinked for a minute, then grinned. “Ok, that is kinda perfect.” she scrolled through her phone for a minute. “That’s a new moon too.”
“Death and rebirth. Didn’t think of that.”
“It’s just a cycle – I sincerely doubt anyone is going to be casting during a sex romp.”
“You’re probably right.” she said, looking up as a knock sounded on the door. She got up to let Ilyana in.
“Hey girls. How’s it going?”
“Good so far.” Mandy piped up. “We’ve got a guest list, but we need to make our own invites. Twelve of ’em.”
Ilyana held up a tote bag. “I brought some supplies, just in case.”
“Great, because they might be needed.” Trish said.
“Well, let’s get started!”
The girls sat down, alternately eating lunch, checking on Emily, and working on the invitations. In the end, they had used bookweight paper, which was thicker than printer paper but thinner and more easily foldable than cardstock for their invitations. They decided on a tri-fold, pamphlet style invitation, but half the height of a normal pamphlet. It ended up looking a little like this:
Cover – Mostly art, with “you are cordially invited” printed on the front.
Inside left – Contains a list of what will be provided at the party; food, music, open bar, vip refreshment, and condoms.
Inside middle – Contains the time, date and location of the party, as well as the type of party.
Inside right – Rules for the party; No +1’s, Please RSVP, No harassment, don’t spread word, let us know ahead of time if special accommodations need to be met, etc.
Outside left (aka first panel you see when opening) – sexy art piece (no nudity, but erotic nevertheless)
Outside middle (aka back) – art panel depicting the three girls. varies slightly form invite to invite.
Ilyana provided the art, which was different for each invitation, per what she thought would appeal to the individual. Trish used a stylized calligraphy to print all the information, and once the ink had dried, Mandy folded them and put them in envelopes, addressing and stamping those. It took several hours, but when the girls had finished, they were happy with their work.
“I can drop these at the post office on my way home.” Mandy said.
“Don’t forget, some of them need to be hand delivered.” Trish went through the pile, and pulled out Charles’ invitation. “I’ll have Chance leave this on his desk, since I don’t technically know his address.Likewise, Ilyana should deliver Billy’s.” she said, handing Billy’s invitation to Ilyana. “Drop the rest off – people should get them the day after tomorrow. Good work girls.”
“You too, Trish.” Mandy said, stretching. “I think I’ll head home, and maybe invite Timur over.”
Ilyana grinned. “Dare I ask why?”
“Oh shut up. That may not even happen.” she said, throwing a throw pillow at Ilyana.
“Alright. Trish, it was your number to call and RSVP, wasn’t it?” Ilyana asked.
“Yes, and I specified text was acceptable as well. They have until the sixth to respond. That’ll give us six days to make any necessary adjustments.”
“Sounds good.” Mandy said. “Keep us informed.”
“Ill do. Bye girls!”
“Bye!”
“Later!”
((Author Note: That means eight of my chars have been invited, and seven of yours. Not all need to accept.))
