Brandon sat alone in his office, contemplating the upcoming party. He felt like he had done it all before. He threw one party for her already but it was a normal, formal affair. HIS type of party, in her honor, with her as a center piece, that he had not done. But she seemed reluctant to join that type of party yet.
He needed something grand, and extravagant; something that would turn heads and notice, but yet keep the focus on her. Then an idea struck him. A concert. Yes of course!! Woodstock for vampires if you will, with Mandy as the center piece. He needed to start planning immediately. First he’d need a venue, then some other acts, security, management, catering, so much to do. With renewed energy he started making phone calls and sending e-mails. This was going to be fantastic. So much to do it had him tingling again. He loved having a purpose, even if it were fleeting.
At his age it was something he seldom had. And that’s what Mandy brought out in him, he supposed; a new purpose, something different, CHANGE! It’s what he craved more than anything, a release from the monotony and repetitive existence he’d had. He’d been everywhere and done near everything, and little held his interest anymore, But Mandy was fresh and new, and so… corruptible. Though he didn’t really intend to do so, the thought of it was certainly tantalizing – but that was Endrik’s place not his. Just watching her become the vampire she had the potential to be excited him. She could be great one day, and he wanted to help her on her way. To afford her every opportunity and give her a leg up.
His thoughts turned back to the task at hand; so much to do, so many things to arrange.
