Vince Thoughts

Things were getting interesting around here. Petra had found some new guy. Which was weird; he always thought she had no interest in romance. And here she was going to help make him an Assamite. Just weird. Brandon and Endrik both seemed fascinated by this Mandy chick, who was sort of interesting but personally he couldn’t see what all the fuss was about. Sure she was cute, and seemed to be picking up on powers quick, but that wasn’t exactly unheard of or anything. Not common to be sure, but not like the greatest thing since sliced bread either. And who was this dude following her?
Her dad was former CIA, but had been to preoccupied to notice his daughter begin stalked. It was almost laughable, and Petra was all in love with him and shit too. Not quite sure what she saw in the guy, but at least he made her happy. Something Vince himself could never do. Sure there was some chemistry, but they were too different, and they would never last. For one thing, she was Lasombra. While this didn’t bother him much, her personality was somewhat formed by the way she was raised and brought into the clan. He was too low brow for her, not noble, not rich, not powerful – not in the sense she knew anyway.
He usually moved around a lot too. It was a Gangrel thing, the wanderlust. He was a selfish bastard sometimes too. Yeah, there were a lot of reasons that he wasn’t good enough for her. So he was glad that she found someone. Someone not him, someone good for her. Yeah, defiantly better than him. He slugged on a beer and lamented
Ok, enough with this morose shit, on to current matters.
Donovan seemed to be on the move, but he had no idea what that slimy motherfucker was up to. Brandon he could trust to be Brandon. There was a Setite in town, but he seemed to be behaving himself just fine. So really, the only unknown at the moment was the guy stalking Mandy. If he hurt Mandy, that would hurt Claude, and any hurt to Claude was a hurt to Petra, so he figured he better find out what that’s all about.
He would never be good enough for her, but he’d be damned if he let someone else ruin the happiness she’d found.
