Jasper tucked JJ into bed. It was cute. He liked the gesture, and it warmed his heart. This Trish girl was something special. So far he had learned a great deal more about his host, but was slow to let on much to her. He thought there were some things he could let slip here and there. The problem was what to tell her and what to keep hidden. He wasn’t sure how she’d react to certain information.
He sat at his computer…. “His”… yes, the melding was that far. It wasn’t “his hosts” computer anymore, it was “his computer” now. He turned his attention to the screen, and went about making some social media posts, letting what few friends and acquaintances he had, know what had happened; that he was alright, but that he may need more time to recover. Continuing with the partial amnesia cover made things easier. He then logged off and made a few phone calls about getting his car towed, and fixed. He apparently had some money, not rich, but definitely not destitute by any means. Apparently the crash was fairly bad, and the car was totaled, he’d have to get a new one.
That worked nicely actually, it’s something Trish could help him with tomorrow. He made a mental note to call her early in the morning. He decided to simply take things slowly and see how they went with her, no sense rushing into anything.
With that he settled into bed himself, exhausted from the days bike-ride, and the mental exertion of recovering memories. He cuddled up to JJ, said “goodnight” to the bear and drifted quickly off to sleep.
