Jett had taken Brandon’s advice and soaked with him in the hot tub – anything to get his mind of matters, really. It worked – for a time. Now he sat upright with a jolt, drenched in a cold sweat, his breathing rapid and panicked. He fumbled, reaching out to Brandon, who lay next to him – but to no avail. Brandon was asleep for the day. He clutched his head and proceeded to rock back and forth as he tried to force the memories down.
I don’t want to remember; go away. I don’t want to remember; go away. He silently chanted. the memories refused to go away, however, his mind playing out in perfect detail the first time that Derrek forced him to perform sexual acts on one of his fleshcrafted beings. It was nightmare fuel for the ages, and he bit his lip as he tried to hold in a scream.
I need to get out. I need….I don’t know what I need. I need to not think anymore. Escape was the desperate urge running through his body, so he let instinct control him as he got out of bed, pulled on pants and hunted through the house for Emilio, and asked for some strong liquor to be brought to him. He wanted (needed) to get black out drunk – it was the only way he could think of to deal with the problem right now.
Talking to someone is probably preferential. But who? Any vampire would be asleep, save for Vince. He didn’t know most of the ghouls very well, and he supposed there was Jasper…but he was reluctant to put Jasper in the role of a counselor. Perhaps because the man had done so much for him already, he wasn’t sure. He lined up a series of three shots, and downed them as he mulled things over, still desperately trying to put Derrek-centric thoughts to the back of his mind. Lucas was most certainly out of the question – he couldn’t talk to the man about anything pertaining to the vampire world since he was merely a mortal.
“Dammit, I don’t know what to do!” he said aloud, only half realizing that he’d done so. He put his face in his hands and, since he was alone, had a bit of a cry. The Derrek memories were hard, and he’d rather be with Marcus again than ever have to deal with Derrek, things had been that bad. The stress that he had been under from the summons was just to much, and he had to release that pent up stress somehow.
After a minute, he wiped his eyes and asked Emilio if he could use a car. Emilio got him a set of keys, and Jett drove off to a local gym where he could hit the punching bags and try to let of some steam and aggression. Once he’d been at it for a while, he started to feel a bit better. Before heading back to Brandon’s, he stopped and got something to eat, and then decided to make his way back home, to where he lived with Vince. I’ll try talking to him before I head back to Brandon’s. Maybe it’ll help. If it doesn’t, I can always try talking to Charles later or something.
